  2. I wish I had a long weekend (although I can't complain - I had a four-day weekend last week!). Instead, I've spent my weekend writing student reports for the end of our school year in Australia. But, I've finished now which means I'm going to have some much needed me time, probably reading a brand new book I got for my birthday!

Your new phonics packs look awesome! Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

I have to have some fun though, so I'm taking my 5 year old daughter to the zoo tomorrow to have some fun! Hope you're having a great 3-day weekend! Would love to win those phonics packs to use in my classroom! Thanks!!

  16. Thanks for keeping first grade alive! I hope you are loving your new grade, but you are greatly missed! These packets are super cute and would make learning these chunks much more meaningful and fun! I just finished conferences and am extra talked out and tired. The school work continues, though, and I have been running my kids to practices, out with their friends, and cooking. Now it's a little sneak away to see your post and then lesson plans, grading, and a newsletter need to be done. A teacher's job is 24-7. Thanks again for being SO CREATIVE and GENEROUS!

  38. Well, today I was resting and getting over a cold. So....all the facebook frenzies and blog hoppings couldn't come at a better time. I sat, clicked and clicked! Now I am wondering if more of my weekend will be shopping for laminating pouches and ink! :-) I am also honoring my boys...one in the Air Force, the other the Navy! (proud mama)

  39. I spent today taking my son to the Discover Dinosaurs exhibit at our civic center. We might go bowling tomorrow, but I have to get things ready for a sub for Tuesday. I hope to go by the school for an hour to get things ready. I actually don't like to miss work, but my doctor thinks it is best that I stay home, because Tuesday is flu vaccine day at school. They give the nasal vaccine or the shot. Since the nasal vaccine is a live virus, I can't be there. My immune system is weakened because of Humera. So happy 4 day weekend to me!

  70. This looks so cute, sure to capture the attention of any child who need to learn how to read better. Make for wonderful lessons for my young eager-to-read son who is all but running ahead of time in reading. I have been using insights from this site that has most of what a parent needs to be able to home school their child with no previous teaching experience. I must say I have learnt most of all that I know from there. Just as interesting as the three phonics packs you offer, really. http://easylearnreading.com
